How to benefit from the ISSA program

Who can access the program?

The ISSA program provides financial and human support for all types of organization (charities, associations, companies, etc.) through social initiatives (improving living conditions for local populations) and economic initiatives (creating wealth for local communities).ISSA thus funds projects that promote employment, education, health care, and access to water and energy.

Funding of up to €24,000 per project is earmarked for tangible investments (sustainable construction and equipment). This funding is based on a detailed quotation.

The aim of ISSA is to promote local development among the populations and regions with which Sogea-Satom employees are already in contact. The aim is to support a commitment to solidarity that complements the actions already taken as projects are conducted, as part of the CSR policy.

How do you apply?

  1. The first step involves defining the project and the needs with Sogea-Satom’s teams.
  2. Then, the project leader, the ISSA representative partner or the Sogea-Satom employee in contact with the entity contacts the coordination team (coordination.issa@vinci-construction.com) to submit the project. The coordination team is made up of ISSA ambassadors (one in each country).
  3. The application file is then examined by the team. Shortlisted applications are submitted to the selection committee for final approval. The committee meets twice a year (in May and November).
  4. Project leaders are informed of the committee’s decision and approved projects are rolled out by the branch responsible for the project, up to the approved amount.

How is the grant paid?

The ISSA grant is paid to the worksite or branch rolling out the project on behalf of the project leader. This means that funds cannot be paid to an intermediary such as an NGO or association, nor directly to the project beneficiary.

What is the role of a sponsor and how do I become one?

ISSA also encourages civic engagement among employees. Sponsors are Sogea-Satom employees. Regardless of the position they hold, these employees support the project leader from the project submission stage through to the final phase. They use their skills (expert advice, knowledge transfer, networking with partners, etc.) to take the projects forward. The sponsor and the project initiative must be geographically close in order to build an effective, long-lasting skills sponsorship program. The sponsor is selected by the branch when the project has been received by the ISSA ambassador (ISSA country representative).
